NAAHP Launches Network After Work Social Hour Series

May 22, 2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 22, 2015

HILLSIDE, NJ Hundreds of students and professionals will participate in a multi-city Social Hour Series that will be launched in late May by the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP) to promote networking within the Diaspora.

From Massachusetts to Miami, the Association will tour a total of five cities along the East Coast to engage both members and non-members interested in career advancement strategies and opportunities. The Series will help cultivate partnerships and increase civic engagement amongst members of the Diaspora and friends of Haiti. Additionally, participants will learn about the Association’s advocacy efforts, philanthropic and social projects directly tied to promoting sustained social and economic success in Haiti.

“The NAAHP Annual Conference brings together so many Haitian movers and shakers and I wanted to recreate the same environment on a small scale in cities where our members live and thrive. Continuous networking and collaboration within the Diaspora is crucial to our success. Through the Social Hour Series we can begin to build and strengthen those relationships while also providing attendees with more information on our work as an organization,” said Joanne Antoine, the Director of Organizational Affairs for NAAHP,

The first of five in the Series will be held on May 29 at 7PM in the Tamboo Restaurant & Lounge located at 252 Main Street in Brockton, MA. Additional events will be held in New York City, Atlanta, Washington, Miami throughout the summer months.

The Association will host the Series once a year to ensure that the members and friends of the Diaspora remain connected to support Haiti’s ongoing rebuilding and development efforts.
