April 08, 2014

On November 1-2, 2013, over 250 Haitian Diasporas and friends of Haiti gathered under one roof at Columbia University (NYC) to discuss the models, methods and mechanisms necessary for Diaspora engagement in Haiti. The conference was followed by a series of networking cocktail events where attendees continued the dialogue in a casual and entertainment setting.

The National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP) Presents:

The Third Annual NAAHP Conference in Cambridge, MA at Harvard University
on Friday November 14th and Saturday November 15th

This year, we have partnered with the following organizations:

  • The Joseph Denis Thomas (JDT Foundation) – an organization that provides higher education opportunities to young Haitian nationals in medicine, engineering, agriculture and forestry.
  • The Harvard Haitian Alliance (HHA) – As a member of the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations, the National Haitian Student Alliance, and the Massachusetts Haitian Student Association, HHA promotes the motto of the Haitian flag, L’Union Fait La Force, or Unity Makes Strength by fostering conversations about Haiti at Harvard University and beyond.
  • Grahn-USA – is an extension of Grahn-USA, a global organization dedicated to articulating a framework for rebuilding Haiti, one that goes beyond the mere restoration of physical infrastructure.

This conference is designed as a platform for all students, professionals and experts of all sectors to come together and take part in catalytic conversations geared towards the advancement of Haiti.
