This will be the largest gathering of the diaspora in the U.S. capital city. Approximately one million Haitians reside in America.<\/p>\n<p>The line-up includes <strong>11 Members of Congress<\/strong> as part of the Honorary Congressional Host Committee, <strong>five (5) global ambassadors<\/strong>, District of Columbia officials, senior Washington policy makers, Howard University administrators, and Haitian American political operatives.<\/p>\n<p>Among the award honorees are <strong>Congresswoman Mia Love<\/strong>, Washington DC <strong>Attorney General Karl Racine<\/strong>, National Urban League President <strong>Marc Morial<\/strong>, and acclaimed architect <strong>Rodney Leon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day conference will take place at the Mecca &#8211; the epicenter of Black culture &#8211; Howard University. NAAHP is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the diaspora, spotlighting their successes, and collaborating to identify solutions to strengthen the homeland.
