Gentrification has been affecting black and brown communities for decades. Gentrification affects vulnerable populations through displacement, disruption of community ties, and loss of a safety net. Many community leaders are concerned, the Current Pandemic could drive homelessness and further drive the wave of gentrification. This virtual symposium explores the impacts of gentrification in the Haitian American communities. Join us for an in-depth conversation with Community leaders, activists, and entrepreneurs in discussing the many challenges they are facing in combating gentrification.
