NAAHP to Collaborate with Kallipolis Haiti for the Kallipolis Haiti Public Policy Boot Camp

August 14, 2021

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hillside, New Jersey, August 14, 2021 — The National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP), today announced a collaboration with Kallipolis Haiti for the Kallipolis Haiti Public Policy Boot Camp to be held on Saturday, Sept. 18 – Sunday Sept. 19, 2021.

The Kallipolis Haiti Public Policy Boot Camp will educate high school/university students on the policy-making process in Haiti and equip them with the policy advocacy tools and strategies that they need to effect change in their communities. It will focus on implementing good public policy, community-problem solving, and community development.

“Citizen engagement in public matters is directly linked to good governance and better policy outcomes. Informing and educating young people on the importance of public policy ensures that they feel empowered to engage in community-problem solving. Now more than ever, good public policy is crucial in our quest for a country that is equitable, sustainable, and inclusive,” said Kimberley Allonce, Founding Director of Kallipolis Haiti.

“We at NAAHP are delighted to announce the cooperation with Kallipolis Haiti on the Public Policy Bootcamp. We aim at bridging the knowledge gaps regarding public policy implementation, thus increasing responsible and knowledgeable civic engagement in Haiti and within the Haitian Diaspora.” said Molina Jean-Louis, Executive Vice President, NAAHP.
