Sandra Altiné

Vice-President of Diversity and Inclusion, Facebook

Sandra joined Facebook as VP of Workforce Diversity in January 2020. She brought with her over twenty years of human resources-related experience. Most recently, she was the Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion at Moody’s, where she partnered with business leaders to implement strategic initiatives to attract, retain and promote a strong and talented workforce. Under Sandra’s leadership, Moody’s has been recognized for seven consecutive years as one of the Human Rights Campaign’s “Best Companies for LGBT Equality” and one of “Working Mother 100 Best Companies.” Sandra launched Moody’s partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities, built around internships and full-time opportunities for students of color.

Prior to joining Moody’s, Sandra was the Chief Operating Officer and a senior consultant at a start-up, The Future Work Institute, a global diversity and inclusion consulting firm. Sandra began her career at J P Morgan Chase in Global Trade Operations, and later held a variety of HR leadership positions at the company and was one of the architects of the firm’s diversity agenda.

Sandra is an advisory board member of UNC Kenan-Flagler Business and board member of Coro New York. In these capacities, Sandra strives to learn from and mentor millennial leaders. She is a member of the Executive Leadership Council, the preeminent membership organization for global black leaders. In 2015, Sandra was inducted into the 1804 Haitian-American Roundtable, which is comprised of Haitian-American professionals who are committed to civic engagement as well as philanthropic endeavors benefiting Haiti.

Sandra is a native New Yorker and has two daughters – Natalie and Lexi, who are both attending universities on the East Coast. In her spare time, Sandra enjoys traveling, the theatre, good music, long walks outdoors and any opportunity to celebrate with good food and dancing!
