One of the highlights of this year’s conference is the presence of The Haitian Congress’ Special Commission in charge of formulating proposals for a constitutional reform. For the conference attendees, it is the unique occasion to engage in a high level round-table discussion with members of the commission and to raise the concerns of the diaspora on constitutional issues (both on a personal and institutional level). Created on March 29th 2017, the 9 member special commission is composed of Jerry Tardieu (Petion-Ville) Chairman, Louis Marie Bonhomme (Anse-a-Foleur) Vice-Chairman and Ronald Etienne (Pestel) Secretary. Other Members include Jacques Michel Saint-Louis (Mombin Crochu), Price Cyprien (Thomazeau), Myriam Amilcar (Saint-Michel de l’Attalaye, Raymond Rival (Cornillon Grand-Bois), Jacob Latortue (Gonaives).
