Laura Eustache Zamor

Laura Eustache Zamor is a Student Affairs professional who began her work with students as a Resident Assistant on the Binghamton University campus. There she received her B.A. in rhetoric & global culture. With this formal background in rhetoric/journalism, Mrs. Zamor has interned and worked for publications such as ESSENCE Magazine, The Daily Voice, and Black Bridal Bliss. She has taken her love for the human feature story and used it to develop her niche for personal-social-emotional counseling of students both in secondary and Higher Ed. She has served as Resident Director to 500 upperclassmen at Fordham University, Rose Hill Campus, working daily with students on issues ranging from conflict resolution & conduct management to internship & career preparation.

Having received her M.S.Ed. from New York Institute of Technology, Mrs. Zamor has served as a school counselor for Salesian High School, an all-male Catholic high school in lower Westchester, NY. In this capacity, she has taught curriculum geared towards preparing students for the collegiate experience and internship/career navigation. She has raised over 11 million dollars in scholarships for former senior class members who are now attending institutions such as Manhattan College, Pace University, University of Connecticut, St. John’s University & NYU.

As the Founder/ Director of LaurasLetters INC., a school counseling initiative for Haiti, Mrs. Zamor collaborates with different organizations to bring awareness to the importance of personal-social-emotional wellness of youth within a scholastic setting. Through this independent and grassroots initiative, she travels to Haiti several times a year, conducting pedagogical training for professors, directors of pedagogy, and other school administrators. Since 2014, she has conducted training for Haitian American Caucus_Haiti in Croix-des-Bouquets, and most recently, for Respire Haiti Christian School in Gressier, Leogane.

She resides in NYC with her husband and two children.
