Data Center - Plant Engineering Supervisor / Social Entrepreneur / Diversity Advocate

Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Michele Vlady Boisrond obtained her Baccalauréate in Section Economics and Social Sciences (ES) while attending Sainte Thérèse de l’Enfant Jésus. Few years later, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from The City College of New York. Her background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and commitment to advancing opportunities for women in the Haitian Diaspora and in Haiti led her to become a co-founder and member of the Board of Directors for IEEE Haiti. She was a commitment maker at CGI U for a laboratory project. Prior to implementing IEEE in Haiti with her colleagues, she served as a pre-engineering program instructor through NASA/STEP Proyecto Access, encouraging students to explore careers in STEM. These experiences have provided her with both a background in and a passion for women’s entrepreneurial leadership and program management. Michele V. Boisrond continued her career as a Plant Engineering Supervisor at a Fortune 50 company Technology Headquarters where their IV Tier Data Center resides. She has donated her vacation days to Groupe ECHO Haiti as the responsible of Selection in their first Haiti Hackfest, responsible of the Technology Track at Elan Haiti 2016 and serving as an advisor to the project Edusmart. As an advisor to Impact Hub Haiti, co-organizer and responsible of Port-au-Prince Startup Week Technology and Energy Track, she is encouraging the youth to start their own ventures to solve existing problematic for developing countries while attending college. She is a devoted Mentor who believes Haiti will regain its competitiveness by promoting economic empowerment and STEM Education among the youth. Engineer Michele V. Boisrond is the pioneer of the first Technological Incubator project recently announced by the President of Haiti. Since 2015, she has dropped the seed and will continue to nurture and promote it until fruition. Michele is a passionate of Haitian cuisine and she likes to volunteer her time to social causes.
