Monica De Jesus

Assistant Director of Preprofessional Advising at NYU's College of Arts and Science

Monica De Jesus is an Assistant Director of Preprofessional Advising at NYU’s College of Arts and Science, where she advises prelaw students on questions related to the law school application process, among other advising-related duties. She is also a lawyer and worked as a litigation senior associate at a large law firm in Puerto Rico before her transition into higher education administration roles. She received her Bachelor’s and her Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Columbia University Law School. Monica is also an advocate of equity, diversity and inclusion efforts in her position, having been certified as a diversity ambassador at NYU, and also founded a working mothers support group for NYU administrators. She is happy to share her knowledge and experiences with students of all levels and backgrounds.
