Samuel M. Pierre

Co-Founder and Executive Director, Haitian American Caucus

Samuel M. Pierre is currently the Co-Founder and Executive Director at the Haitian American Caucus, a nonprofit organization and driving coalition movement to improve the lives of the Haitian-American community and its allies.

As of recent Sam made history serving as Campaign Manager to current New York State Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte, the first Haitian American woman elected to the New York State Assembly from New York City.

Sam has worked in government in various facets from interning at his local elected officials offices to becoming the Director of African American & Caribbean Affairs to former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in his Community Affairs Unit. In this capacity Sam’s responsibilities included the development and management of community affairs for elected officials in city, state and federal government citywide.

Sam has managed several projects and served on different committees on official capacities in order to oversee and support complex projects such as the opening of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Project: I love East New York.

Sam graduated from St. John’s University with a degree in Communications and Political Science and is currently pursuing an Executive Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University.

Sam enjoys working with talented networks of creative professionals and believes that everyone has a special purpose in this world. He is passionate about developing lasting relationships, producing great work and changing the world.
