Stephanie possesses nearly 10 years of experience in the field of Human Resources Management and Development and currently works for an International Organization in New York. Her broad experience in the HR world developed early on in her career, as she has always been interested in helping others achieve their goals while maintaining a fair and equitable environment by maintaining various advisory roles.
Born and raised in Haiti, she moved to the United States to pursue her higher education. She attended Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY) where she completed her undergraduate degree with honors, armed with a double major in Economics and
Psychology. During her college years, she remained involved both in human and social services related activities. As such, she served as the President of the Psi Chi Honor society, Hunter College chapter, held various internship positions (Harlem Hospital Center for Victims of Domestic Violence, Reality House-Behavioral Health; Institute For Family Health etc.) while working part-time at the Hunter College School of Social Work Library, all of these experiences only reinforced her interest in working with people to create a lasting impact. To expand her skills, Stephanie furthered her studies and attended Columbia University and New York University to complete a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.
As a Social Worker, it is important for Stephanie to be involved in her community and remain connected to her home country. As such, she is part of part of the small team behind the specialized summer camp for kids 2 to 10 years of age at Au Banc des Poissons Kindergarden in Port-au-Prince. In addition to being an advisor, she designs and conducts workshops on mental health and mental well-being for the parents of the children participating in their summer program.
For the past 4 years, Stephanie has been an active consultant/volunteer of NAAHP, helping with programs and event coordination for events like the NAAHP Happy Hour series in 2015, the Catherine Flon Women’s Symposium in May 2016, and more. Stephanie is committed to all initiatives designed to uplift and create a long-term change in her beloved Haiti.
