Vanessa Ricot

Vanessa currently manages the nationwide Print Ads Production for a Large Media Organization.

Prior to joining The Gray Lady, her experience has lead her throughout some prominent media, product/luxury brands where she gained experience and expertise in her field of Print, Production and Project Management: Coty, Unilever, Tiffany, Ralph Lauren, IMG.

Born and raised in Haiti, Vanessa came to the United States after completing her BAC. She started New Jersey City University – NJCU in the fall of that year and received a BS in Marketing 4 years later.

While at NJCU, Vanessa joined INROADS; a nonprofit organization who’s mission is “to develop and place talented underserved youth in business and industry and prepare them for corporate and community leadership.” Awarded with a 2-year internship at Schering-Plough Mktg & Product Department, the curiosity for Print was born.

But something else peaked as well: The need to have a place to help others with her own background. And so along with a fellow Haitian-American student; she founded the 1st HSA at the University. As of today, the HSA at NJCU – Haitian Student Association – is still going strong. This was only the beginning of Vanessa’s involvement in her community. Currently she is an active member of the following organizations: Diversity NYC, Black@NYT and most recently has joined the NAAHP family.
