Cleve Mesidor

Lead 2016 NAAHP Conference Chair

While she is diplomatic and a consensus builder, it is unmistakable that Cleve is a forceful and assertive leader. Her portfolio targets emerging markets, with a focus on the Caribbean. She leverages innovation and competitive strategies to tackle complex economic challenges. Her toolbox is full of unique solutions to help clients maximize their global impact. Her edge is being able to see past the noise and find the facts to advance priorities and move the ball closer to success. Cleve helps clients to articulate their story and define their brand. She learned how much messaging matters while earning a Master of Arts degree in mass communications from Howard University. Drawing on her training at CNN’s Washington bureau and freelancing for NBC’s Today Show, Cleve regularly publishes feature articles and editorials on timely issues.

Passionate about public service, Cleve recently left her position as a Presidential Appointee to spend half a year on the ground in Haiti focused on economic and job growth. The last 15 years in Washington have been intensely focused on public affairs, legislative policy on Capitol Hill, and a few stints on presidential campaigns, gubernatorial races, and Presidential conventions. She was born in Haiti and raised in New York City, witnessing the birth of rap and hip-hop culture. She is a generation Xer who is fascinated by the millennial generation and the dynamic and game-changing role they play on the global stage. Cleve was recently named one of MSNBC’s Grio 100 and was profiled by Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In Foundation.

Anide Jean-Eustache

Anide Jean-Eustache is a marketing and communications professional with over 12+ years’ experience working in various capacities including: media relations, public relations, promotions, creative development, event management, training and marketing communications. She has worked across a variety of industries among them not-for-profit, theater, media/entertainment, sports, publishing, advertising and higher education. She has worked with companies such as: Crossroads Theater, National Basketball Association, the New York Times, Digitas (clients included: American Express, Pfizer, Kraft and Samsung) and is currently the Associate Director, Outreach & Communications for Stevens Institute of Technology.

Anide is also a public speaker and volunteers with several organizations. As a public speaker she teaches in the areas of: Purpose, Empowerment, Setting Goals, Vision and Career Coaching and Lay Leader Training for churches. She is a mentor and has served with various groups among them: Eben-Ezer New Generation Ministry, NBMBAA, NY Chapter, CASH/LOT program and Digitas, Perspectives Group and currently mentors early to mid-career level professional women. She also works very closely with Foundation for Peace as a volunteer and group leader organizing missions’ trips and teams to work in Haiti. She holds an MBA, in Marketing & Media Management from Fordham Graduate School of Business; a B.A. in Communications & Journalism, from Rutgers University, Douglass College; and a Certificate in Sports, Entertainment & Events Marketing from NYU’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies.

Marie “Myka” Texas

Myka Texas is a healthcare IT professional currently working in the specialized field of electronic health records and practice management technology. She serves as a Designer/ Sr. Business Analyst charged with crafting software/product requirements from conception to life. She has worked on health innovative software for companies such as GE Healthcare, Microsoft, and Partners Healthcare System in Boston. She holds a bachelor in Economics and French from UMASS Amherst, studied abroad at the University of Grenoble in France, holds a Masters in Software Engineering from Brandeis University, and is currently working on a Healthcare MBA from George Washington University.

Myka is an advocate at heart and believes in the power of the diaspora to lead her native country of Haiti into a state of restoration. She serves as Director of Member Services on the NAAHP Executive Management Team and has been working with NAAHP as conference staff since 2014. Last year she was one of the Conference Chairs for the Miami Conference and this year she is a Conference Co-chair leading the Gala Committee to another outstanding delivery. Myka seeks opportunities where she can contribute on initiatives aimed at the development of Haiti, through raising consciousness of Haitians abroad to recognize their pivotal role as one of the key pillars of hope.

Suze François

Suze François is the President of The Mitef Group, a global consulting services focusing on Corporate Social Responsibility and Workforce Development.  She is also the co-founder and President of the Potter’s Hand Children’s Center, a non-profit organization with the mission of creating the next generation of leaders in Haiti.

Before founding The Mitef Group, Suze was a Senior Manager at the Walmart Foundation, where she managed a $110M+ global portfolio focusing on workforce development and women’s economic empowerment.  In addition, Suze worked in Walmart’s Global Sourcing division as a Corporate Social Responsibility Manager.  In this position, Suze’s duties included stakeholder engagement, international development, and supply chain risk management.

Previously to Walmart, Suze was a fellow at the Organization of American States (O.A.S.) in Washington D.C.  During her tenure at the O.A.S., Suze focused on women’s peace and security and human trafficking issues in Haiti and Latin America.

Suze François holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with focus on Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.  She is a native of Haiti and is fluent in French, Haitian Creole, and English.  She also has extensive knowledge of Spanish and Arabic.

Newton Sanon

Newton B. Sanon, President and CEO of OIC of South Florida, is committed to the advancement of the underserved via vocational training and education. Mr. Sanon states that “Despite the many challenges we face, we live in the best country in the world, with boundless opportunities. I simply look to be a convener of awareness, access and action with the aspiration that all may have at a minimum, the opportunity to realize the greatness within us all. A proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc Mr. Sanon has also been selected as one of The 40 Most Influential & Prominent Black Professionals of South Florida Under the Age of 40 by Success South Florida Magazine and was selected during the Bank Atlantic Non-profit Academy Awards as one of the Broward College Non-Profit Leaders of the Year and JM Family Enterprises annual African American Achievers Award for Community Service and recently U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Advocates, Entrepreneurs and Life Time Achievers, Leadership Florida Class of XXXIV and many more.

Albert DeCady

Albert DeCady is an influential global leader in the Haitian Diaspora.

He is Chair and CEO of the Green Investments Group, LLC, an innovative entity that is creating profitable businesses and jobs in Haiti. An attorney and engineer by trade, DeCady is a seasoned senior official at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with over twenty years of experience in the field of intellectual property.

He oversees several major initiatives and holds high-level posts across Diaspora communities. To address the impacts of deforestation in Haiti, he co-founded A Dollar-A-Tree for Haiti with former Haiti Ambassador to U.S. Raymond Joseph. Immediately after the fatal 2010 earthquake in Haiti, DeCady served as Chair of the Greater Washington Haiti Relief Committee, which coordinated regional response efforts based at the Embassy of Haiti in Washington DC.

DeCady regularly serves as a media commentator and has lectured at the University of Maryland, College Park.

His academic credentials are extensive. DeCady earned Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York, a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from George Washington University, and a Juris Doctor from the Washington College of Law American University. Additionally, he is an active member of the Maryland Bar Associations.

DeCady resides in Maryland with his wife and three children.

Serge Renaud

President and Member of the Board of Directors of the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP)

Mr. Renaud is a Senior Tax Specialist with the U.S. Department of Treasury. Prior to this position, he was a Corporate Tax Examiner dealing with various and complex tax issues in different business entities such as C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Partnerships, and other type of business entities with a wide range of assets.

Prior to joining the U.S. Treasury, he was employed with PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP. in their International Tax Services (ITS) as an International Tax Associate working on various international tax issues.

Mr. Renaud is a founding member of the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP), a founding member of the New Jersey Haitian Student Association (NJHSA), a Current Advisory Board Member of the Haitian Association of Indiana (HAI), and a former Board of Directors of the Haitian American Leadership Council (HALEC) – NJ Chapter.

Mr. Renaud graduated with a Master of Science in Accounting from Seton Hall University; an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
