Charlot Lucien

President of GRAHN-Boston

Charlot Lucien is the president of GRAHN New England Boston, a board member of EDEM Foundation and a member of several organizations working to improve the economic and health wellbeing of Haitians in various regions of Haiti.  In his professional life he is a manager at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) where he has coordinated HIV AIDS programs and projects aiming at improving refugees’ health, mental health, self-sufficiency and their insertion in US mainstream host communities.  He is actively involved in the Haitian diaspora, working on a range of topics that include active participation of Haitians in the diaspora to support empowerment of Haitians in the areas of economic development, culture, health and civic involvement.  He is the recipient of several awards for his civic engagement, from the City of Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, GRAHN-Monde and was more recently named by the New-York-based Haitian Roundtable (HRT) as an inductee in its 1804 List of Haitian-American Changemakers.
