Dr. Chimene Castor

Dr. Chimene Castor is an assistant professor and clinical coordinator at Howard University in the Department of Nutritional Sciences for the dietetics program. Dr. Castor has a doctorate and Masters in Health Education and Behavior studies from Teachers College, Columbia University. She received her Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Howard University. Dr. Castor has more than 16 years as a clinical dietitians as well as over 20 years working and providing comprehensive care in developing nutritional intervention to address and chronic disease prevention and management interventions National and International level. Dr. Castor has worked to provide nutritional education and coordinated peer education training in HIV/AIDS and STI in Haiti, Kenya, South African, Ghana, Jamaica, Tobago, St Lucia and Togo. Dr. Castor is also the founder of Sowing Seeds, a non-profit organization working to improve the lives of children thru education and nutritional health. She has also coordinated the annual Health disparities conference for the department of nutritional sciences and the College of Nursing and Allied health.
