Joseph Max Veve II

Highway Design, Pond and Company

Joseph Max Veve II is a civil engineering graduate from the very prestigious Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). He is also an alumnus of the Miami Dade Honors College. He is currently working at Pond and Company in Highway Design. Mr Veve has worked previously as a researcher for Georgia Tech on transportation projects sponsored by the city of Atlanta and the Georgia Department of transportation. Throughout his undergraduate years, Mr. Veve has been known for his deep involvement in extracurricular activities both at his schools and his community. He was elected President of the Miami Dade College North Campus’ Haitian Student Association before serving as the Vice-President of the Caribbean Student Organization at Georgia Tech. He is now the volunteer coordinator for the content committee of the National Alliance for the advancement of Haitian Professionals in the United States. He is also a member of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia. In 2013, he received the exemplary Haitian American student recognition from county commissioner Jean Monestime. He received recognitions for his mathematics performances and was spotlighted in South Florida Times as an outstanding student by journalist Robert Beatty. He was also nominated by the Florida College System as Florida’s Chancellor student for the month of July in 2014.

Joseph Max Veve was born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti. He moved to the United States after his high school graduation in 2010, shortly after the devastating earthquake that left his Nation crippled. He holds an associate degree from Miami Dade College and a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Tech.
