Dr. Marie Flore LIndor-Latortue has been a member of different community based organizations internationally and nationally. In Miami Dade County, you find her hosting or facilitating community sessions for the Haitian American Leadership Organization (HALO). She was a member of the Haitian American Professional Coalition (HAPC) from June 2009 to February 2012 and she also served as a Board Member and played the role of secretary. She is an active member of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida (HACCOF) and many other chambers particularly the Haitian Chamber of Broward. She volunteered for over ten years for the Make a Wish Foundation, the Lupus Foundation. She assisted them with several outreach initiatives. She is presently an active member of the International Women Association.  She is also listed in Who’s Who.

With more than 18 years in social services, program development, “Dr. Flore” is a capacity building consultant, a motivational speaker and a professor. “Dr. Flore” served as the first Haitian woman in the Florida Commission on the Status of Women, Tallahassee, Florida identifying women making a difference nationally from 2004-2008. She also led the Public Relation Committee for the Florida Commission on the Status of Women. She received several accolades throughout her life. In May 2016, she was elected congressional delegate for district 26 and attended the Democratic convention in Philadelphia. She served in several Caribbean caucuses and for the past two years, she has been the protocol chair for the Hispanic Caucus, Miami Chapter.

Inventor of the “Gade Tet Ou” philosophy, Dr. Flore believes that one’s success is possible through constant practice on self-check, self-awareness and the understanding of Introspection. Dr. Flore had spoken at different business affairs, universities, group’s meetings sharing her leadership skills with others regardless of their background. In November 2015, she served as content committee member for the National Alliance of Haitian American Professionals, NAHAP. She contributed to the 2015 conference and white paper pending publication. She also created a framework for the note takers training.

Culturally and sensitively driven, Dr. Flore is also known as a radio host with 23 years of experience making a difference in Miami Dade County in the lives of many minority groups including Haitians, African-American and Hispanics. In October 2011, she decided to blend Radio and Television. She created Radio/Tv with Dr. Flore. First 58 minutes Radio-tv combined in three languages to attract North Miami clientele and abroad. Radio/Tv with Dr. Flore is growing fast and has impacted the social media as well.

She published several articles in the area of Leadership, Public Health. She has been teaching for over 19 years in the area of Health Services Administration, General Education, and Leadership.

“Dr. Flore” enjoys dancing, helping others, transforming lives through coaching and consulting. She and her Husband Roland Latortue are the proud parents of Raphael and Lucphillipe Latortue.
