NAAHP Leaders Share Thoughts on the 2015 Annual Conference

Dear Distinguished Conference Participant,

Thank you for joining us on such a wonderful occasion! As we embark on our Fourth Annual Conference, the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP) is excited to once again bring Haitian leaders from across the world together to discuss issues that impact our community in Haiti and abroad. The theme for this year’s conference is “Elevating Haiti and its Diaspora: Building Results-Driven Road Maps, Developing Leaders & Creating Opportunities.”

The 2015 NAAHP Conference will focus on the interrelated themes of advocacy, philanthropy and social entrepreneurship in the context of uniting and strengthening Haiti and its Diaspora. The dominant thinkers on the development of Haiti’s government and civil society will converge at the Florida International University to discuss effective methods for collaboration between governments and their diaspora. Panel discussions, debates and workshops will focus on professional advancement strategies, forging viable advocacy frameworks for governments from origin and destination countries as well as exchanging knowledge of relative philanthropic and social entrepreneurship opportunities to improve social and economic success.

Since 2011, NAAHP has continuously strived to become the premiere Haitian organization working to address the issues of Haitians in the Diaspora and in Haiti through the creation of opportunities for career advancement, engaging the Diaspora in advocacy efforts, promoting philanthropic and social entrepreneurship. Indeed, this year’s conference is an exciting time for NAAHP to once again put forth a program that is centered on our vision and mission.

The NAAHP Conference is a must-attend event for all Haitians, Friends of Haiti community members, or those who simply would like to know more about the Haitian discourse.
