Greetings!

Bienvenue à Miami, Floride! Byen Vini nan Miyami, Florid! What a pleasure and honor it is to serve as the Co-host for the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals’ 2015 Conference.

Miami-Dade County is a culturally diverse and énergétique community that people from around the world call home. This is the perfect place for the Haitian Diaspora to come together and advocate for our common goals. During this two-day conference local and visiting professionals will have the opportunity to network and collaborate with community leaders, and subject matter experts on numerous issues. I urge you to accept this invitation and take advantage of this leadership conference.

I want to convey my sincere gratitude to NAAHP for their invitation to take part in this gathering. Over the past four years, this organization has been instrumental in providing resources to help young Haitian professionals build intellectual and economic wealth. This organization is committed to a more united Diaspora throughout the world, working together, to build a stronger Haiti.

Within the last decade the South Florida Haitian-American community has made great strides both politically and economically. NAAHP is in position to play a key role in encouraging and motivating the success of professionals of Haitian descent. Let us stay true to the inspirational mission statement of our organization: “Elevating Haiti and Its Diaspora.” Let us continue to uplift, invigorate, and inspire our Haitian community through our example.

For those of you who are visiting the Miami area for this conference, I encourage you to take advantage of our many attractions, beautiful beaches, great restaurants, houses of worship, and excellent entertainment venues.

I wish you a safe, pleasant and rewarding experience, as I thank you for being a part of the 2015 NAAHP Conference.
