Celso Perez is an associate attorney atĀ Kurzban Kurzban Weinger Tetzeli and Pratt P.A., where he works on a range of litigation and immigration matters. He was the Peter and Patricia Gruber Fellow in Global Justice at Human Rights Watch from 2014-2015. Celso is the author of Human Rights Watch’s 2015 report, “We are Dominican: Arbitrary Deprivation of Nationality in the Dominican Republic.” The report analyzes the arbitrary stripping of citizenship of Dominicans of Haitian descent in the Dominican Republic, and subsequent government efforts to remedy the situation. Celso holds a J.D. degree from Yale Law School and a B.S. from Boston College. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and is proficient in Portuguese.
