Haitian Prime Minister Evans Paul to Give Keynote Address at NAAHP Gala on November 14 in Miami, FL

October 26, 2015 The Honorable Prime Minister Evans Paul of Haiti will be giving the keynote address at the National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP), Golden Honors Award Gala on November 14, 2015 taking place at Florida International University’s (FIU), Key Biscayne campus in Miami, Florida.

“When we sat down to discuss potential keynote speakers for the awards gala, Prime Minister Paul was at the top of everyone’s list,” says NAAHP Executive Vice-President Serge Renaud. He continued, “we look forward to having the prime minister join us to share his insight as he will continue to play a critical role in leading Haiti during the election process and beyond.”

Prime Minister Paul, veteran politician took office in January 2015 upon Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe’s resignation. “Throughout my political career in Haiti, I’ve always carried out difficult battles and led in difficult landscapes, I’ve never had it easy,” shared Paul. “However, under my leadership I hope to return some dignity to Haiti while making the public administration more responsive.”

The prime minister is co-founder of Komite Inite Demokratik (KID) which eventually became the Party Konvansyon Inite Demokratik (KID); former campaign manager and engineer of former President Jean-Bertrand; former elected mayor of Port-au-Prince, former presidential candidate and a grassroots leader. Paul studied communication and drama at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts; is self-taught in sociology and political science, and holds a certificate from Harvard University.

The Golden Honors Award Gala taking place as part of the 4th Annual NAAHP conference will commence at 6:00PM in the Kovens Conference Center, 3000 N.E. 151 Street, KCC101, North Miami, FL. The Golden Honors Award Gala is a red carpet event that will be attended by dignitaries, influencers, and community leaders who will partake in an unforgettable evening of live entertainment by T-Vice, dinner and most importantly honoring the extraordinary efforts of change agents within the Haitian community.
