Art enthusiast. Leader. Philanthropist. Activist. Rebel with a Cause- words to describe Dr. Cassandra Theramene; a native from the beautiful island of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and resident of Miami, FL. At an early age, Dr. Theramene proved that leadership and community involvement had no age bracket; with current memberships in FAMU Alumni Association; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.; Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce; and the Miami-Dade Democrats, to name a few. After graduating FAMU, while working in corporate America, she founded a 501c3 non-profit and scholarship foundation, Scholars Today, Leaders of Tomorrow, Inc., which focuses on mentoring and youth development. During this time, she continued her studies at the University of Miami, where she received an MBA with a concentration in International Business, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Global Leadership Development in Foreign Markets from Argosy University.  With a strong passion in global affairs and politics, she is currently theInternational Developer and Recruitment Specialist for an education corporation, where she oversees and travels to over 12 Caribbean islands and 3 U.S markets; she also prepares the next wave of student business leaders as a college professor. Dr. Cassandra has been awarded several distinctions and honors for her tireless work in the community, but her greatest accomplishment is being of service to all mankind. Knowing that her purpose lie in serving under-developed countries like Haiti, in the areas of global leadership development, economic development, education/literacy, and civic engagement, Dr. Theramene plans to do her part by running for a political office within the next two years; and as a long-term goal, one day to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Haiti.
