Mr. Ernst Junior Cadet is trained in law and economics and possesses significant experience in the child protection field, in both emergency and development contexts. He has held multiple professional staff positions with Haitian and international organizations, consulted with a wide variety of institutions and has actively pursued leadership positions supporting Haitian youth leadership. Mr. Cadet has designed child protection interventions, led impact studies, reviewed academic and training curricula and provided project management. Additionally, he has taught in Haitian secondary schools and provided analysis of teacher training materials. Currently, Mr. Cadet serves as the head of Handicap International’s protection unit working with Haitian governmental institutions such as IBESR and BPM as well as international partner organizations such as the International Rescue Committee and Terre des Hommes. Very involved in his community, he became president of Junior Chamber International Haiti (JCI Haiti), one of the largest networks of young active citizens present in the ten departments of the country.
