Vania Andre is a media professional with a background in marketing, public relations and journalism. As editor in chief of Haitian Times, she oversees the editorial direction of the publication and facilitates key partnerships with community leaders and groups.
She is a first-generation Haitian American, born and raised in Cambria Heights, NY. She attended Hofstra University where she received her bachelors in psychology and public relations, and masters in journalism.
Vania has been covering the Haitian community for the past 5 years with a special emphasis on arts and culture. She’s held positions in print, online and broadcast, including NBC and ABC News, where she worked on investigative stories.
She is also a part of the Haitian American Caucus, where she assists with their communication and outreach efforts.
