Director of Member Services
Tracy Vertus is the current Community Living Assistant at Atlanta Mission, a multi-facility non-profit organization serving Metro Atlanta’s large homeless population. As a Community Living Assistant, Tracy engages with clients and staff in identifying and obtaining benefits and community services as well as conducting programs to prevent and resolve problems relevant to substance abuse, and rehabilitation.
During her academic years, Tracy served as president of a Haitian Student Organization, Haitian Inter-Cultural Association (HICA). Within this role, she was able to educate others about Haiti and its rich culture as well as giving back to the community through health fairs, toy giveaways and many others. Tracy held multiple positions while pursuing her degree such as Student Philanthropist at her university, Guest Logistics Agent at SMS Intenational Shore Operations and Program Assistant for the Haitian Empowerment and Literacy Project.
Tracy’s greatest strengths are her creativity, leadership and passion to help others. Outside of Atlanta Mission, she participates in yearly mission trips with her church youth group. She is the current Youth Coordinator at her church, Stone Mountain First United Methodist Church, founder and co-host of the Tracy & Malika Show, an online radio show, volunteer at an orphanage in Jacmel, Haiti. Her long-term goal is to work as an ambassador to at-risk youth in low developing countries such as Haiti through fundraising, advocacy, and community outreach programs. As a recent graduate, she is looking to continue gaining valuable skills and career experience in the Non-Profit sector.
Tracy holds a Bachelor degree in International Studies from Barry University. She was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and lived in Miami before settling in Atlanta GA. She plans on going back to school for a Master’s in Development practice.
