Become a Volunteer

NAAHP conferences are a huge success, because of the individuals who believe in our vision and mission. During our annual conferences our volunteers will have the opportunity to serve as leaders and present ideas that help to improve the overall conference while experiencing first-hand the passion behind the mission of NAAHP.

While volunteering for this year’s conference you will obtain valuable skills that can be applied to you professional life and are taken into consideration in the event you decide to become a permanent volunteer for NAAHP.

Conference Content Committee Volunteer

The conference committee will be responsible for managing the content materials presented during the conference through panel discussions, workshops, keynotes, or other notable moments during the conference. Committee members will work closely with conference presenters both before, during and likely after the conference to assure that the content is consistent with information presented at the conference in alignment with the year’s theme and the mission of NAAHP.

Track 1: Haiti & Haitian Diaspora  Engagement

Program Specialist (1):  good organizational skills. Proficient in English , excellent analytical and writing skills, good understanding of the socio-economic and political situation in Haiti. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word. Good connections with Haitian professionals and organizations within the Diaspora and in Haiti is a plus.

Program Specialist (2): good organizational skills. Proficient in English , excellent analytical and writing skills, expertise in Microsoft Excel and Google docs. Good connections with Haitian professionals and organizations within the Diaspora and Haiti is a plus.

Track 2: Professional Development

Speaker Recruiter and Liaison: This person should have a diverse network or knowledge of individuals who are financial literacy experts, business owners, corporate executives, technology professionals, etc. Their role involves handling communication with potential speakers, inviting them to participate, coordinating their schedules, and ensuring that they have all the necessary information and resources for their panels/presentations. This person will also need to gather input from attendees and speakers to evaluate the effectiveness of the Professional Development track and identify areas for improvement.

Sponsorship and Partnerships Coordinator: This individual is a confident speaker and writer who has previously recruited conference sponsors and possesses connections in and around Atlanta. Their role is to identify sponsors for panels on the Professional Development track, develop sponsorship packages, and manage relationships with sponsors to ensure their needs are met and their contributions are acknowledged. They will also engage with local organizations.
