ANNOUNCES ITS 10th ANNUAL CONFERENCE TO TAKE PLACE NOVEMBER 2024

Hillside, New Jersey, May 31, 2024 — The National Alliance for the Advancement of Haitian Professionals (NAAHP) is thrilled to announce its 10th Annual Conference, scheduled for November 7th to 9th, 2024, at the prestigious Courtland Grand Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. We invite you to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion as we embrace the Haitian professional community and work together to shape a brighter future for Haiti and Haitian professionals worldwide.

Conference Theme: “Unleash Our Power! Creating a new paradigm for professional excellence in the Haitian Diaspora and mobilizing for dignified leadership strategies in Haiti”

This year’s theme highlights the Haitian diaspora’s engagement in driving change in Haiti while empowering ourselves professionally for greater impact in our host country, the United States.

Positive change in Haiti must include diaspora participation and effective engagement, which requires a reliable platform such as the NAAHP conference, for action driven collaborations toward meaningful impact.” Marie Myka Texas, Co-Director of Conference Planning & In-person Events.

Empowerment, Unity, and Progress

As we face a pivotal moment in our history, NAAHP aims to foster a spirit of empowerment, unity, and progress within the Haitian professional community and beyond. Through engaging discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, attendees will explore ways to harness their collective strength and drive positive change in their respective fields and communities. To do this, NAAHP is proud to offer two specialized tracks this year:

The “Professional Development” Track

This track provides a space for Haitian professionals to meet, exchange ideas, and build valuable connections for personal and professional growth. It aims to strengthen the diaspora network and create opportunities for collaboration and mutual support.

The “Haiti & Haitian Diaspora Engagement” Track

This track focuses on concrete ways the diaspora can actively contribute to decision- making and the implementation of impactful projects in Haiti.

By participating in our professional development track, attendees will gain actionable insights and practical tools that can be immediately applied to their professional endeavors.” Merline Raymond, Director of Professional Development Track.

Since its inception in 2011, the NAAHP Annual Conference has been a cornerstone platform for Haitian professionals, thought leaders, and allies to converge, exchange ideas, and ignite action. This year’s conference will amplify its focus on Professional Development and engage with the Haitian and African diaspora communities in more profound and impactful ways than ever before.
