Alain Joinville

Alain Joinville is the Director of Strategic Communications and Programs for the Philadelphia Office of Immigrant Affairs. As a child of Haitian immigrants, Alain is intimately aware of the challenges and opportunities that immigrants face when they immigrate to the United States. Throughout his adult life, he has worked to improve the lives of immigrants through both professional and volunteer efforts.

Alain has over seventeen years of leadership experience in local government. He is passionate about strategic communications and collective impact. His career in local government has included developing comprehensive communications strategies, managing diverse stakeholder partnerships, and complex project management.

In his leisure time, he enjoys listening to podcasts, hip-hop, and audiobooks. He also enjoys cycling in Fairmount Park.
