Executive Director, Société Audubon Haiti

Anne-Isabelle Bonifassi serves as the Executive Director of both the Haiti National Trust and Société Audubon Haiti. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund and the Haiti Biodiversity Fund (Fond Haïtien pour la Biodiversité). With a deep-rooted passion for environmental protection and biodiversity restoration in Haiti, Anne-Isabelle brings extensive experience and dedication to her work in conservation.

Her journey has taken her across Africa and Asia, where she gained valuable insights into diverse ecosystems, further igniting her commitment to conservation and socio-ecological resilience. After completing her high school education in Haiti, Anne-Isabelle pursued her studies in Canada, earning degrees in biology, agronomy, and an MBA. She is currently advancing her expertise through a master’s degree in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida.

With over a decade of leadership and management experience in both non-profit and for-profit sectors in Haiti, Anne-Isabelle has successfully developed, implemented, and evaluated numerous projects and strategies aimed at conserving Haiti’s unique wildlife and ecosystems. Her collaborative efforts involve partnerships with local communities, national and international NGOs, and governmental organizations, all striving to protect Haiti’s natural heritage for future generations.
