Béatrice Duret Gentil

Béatrice is a Certified Public Accountant with 15+ years of experience in auditing, taxes and financial advising to small and medium enterprises. She started her career in KPMG where she stayed for 7 years working as a Senior Auditor with a portfolio of more than
15 clients in all sectors, including: non-governmental organizations, financial and non-financial institutions, private companies, oil companies and others. After, she joined Haiti’s first private commercial bank, “Banque de l’Union Haitienne”, where she was the Vice President of Treasury for 3 years preparing annual budgets, developing the bank’s financial strategy, emerging future investments and financial plans.

In 2017, she joined GECA as a Partner. Founded in 2012 by a group of dynamic young Haitian women accompanied by Haitian professionals and foreign partners, GECA is a service / consulting company specializing in the fields of management, financial studies, surveys, accounting, and audit.

Béatrice is the project lead at her firm serving as a Transaction Advisor for USAID program DAI Invest where GECA raised funds up to 25 million dollars in four (6) years. Haiti INVEST’s objective is to promote and facilitate private investment into Haitian small and medium-sized enterprises. GECA has been the TA who has mobilize the most funds in that same period.

In 2020, her business partner and her decided to embark on social entrepreneurship project called KOREVWAZEN, which main vision aims to support and assist five hundred women entrepreneurs in the informal and formal sector in the 18 municipalities of the South Department. Our main mission is to guide and advise them with support for fundraising and financial services.

She currently serves as the Co-Founder of the Bracing Neighbors a foundation whose mission is to “Support economic resilience and financial recovery for vulnerable women entrepreneurs in the Southern Corridor of Haiti through business support, financial management training, technical assistance and capital access”.

Born, raised, and currently living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Béatrice is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Haiti since 2016 and a mother of three children, ages 11, 10 and 5.
