Cherie Ware-Powell

Cherie is a USATF Certified Track and Field Coach. She took  over the Englewood Jr Track and Field Club in 2000. The team is made up of athletes from the ages 7-18 years old. Over the past 20+ years the team has qualified for USATF Junior Olympics every year around the United States.

In 2018 she took her talents to the St. Vincent academy in Newark NJ. Here she faced many challenges with lack of facilities and equipment. However, the team grew to it highest numbers and she was able to secure scholarships for her many of her athletes to universities.

2022 Cherie was recruited to become the Sprint Coach at Felician University, where her coaching talents help secure the teams first ever in school history CACC Division 2 Championship win.

Cheries love for track and field has helped hundreds of youth athletes rise to their highest athletic levels in the sport.
