Christina L. Romelus

City Commissioner, Boynton Beach, FL

Commissioner Christina Romelus was elected to the Boynton Beach city commission March 15, 2016.  She took the oath of office during her last tri-semester of pregnancy with her second child and was appointed Vice Mayor in 2018.

A servant leader, Commissioner Romelus has been an Adjunct Professor at Palm Beach State College since 2014 teaching Anatomy and Physiology and prior to this position, served her community as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Alongside her husband, Darren, Commissioner Romelus established Sky Administrations, a political consulting firm and from her experience while in office has established PolitiCALM, a company focused on improving the life-cycle of individuals entering, engaging in and exiting civic life.

Commissioner Romelus attended South Tech Academy in Boynton Beach, where she obtained her LPN certification, is a proud alumnus of the University of Miami (Go Canes!) and holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University.

An active humanitarian, Commissioner Romelus has done missionary work in Haiti and the Dominican Republic and has also volunteered as a nurse for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).  She currently sits on the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council serving the residents of Palm Beach County.

Originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Commissioner Romelus has lived in Boynton Beach since 2010. While in office she is committed to improving the quality of life for all, increasing public safety and beautifying the Downtown. She and her husband have two sons, Christian and David Lee.
