Dr. Dorothy Crisostomo is a luminary in the fields of mental health and family healthcare, seamlessly blending clinical excellence with compassionate patient care. As a dual Board-Certified Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner, she has revolutionized patient care through her holistic and personalized approach. Her remarkable academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, followed by a Master’s Degree from Walden University in Baltimore, Maryland, and culminating in a Doctorate Degree in Nursing Practice from Brandman University in Irvine, California.

Dr. Crisostomo’s professional expertise spans family medicine, mental health, addiction medicine, and outpatient healthcare. She is a dedicated advocate for patient-centered care, known for her ability to forge strong, trust-based relationships with her patients. Her career is distinguished by her commitment to acute patient care, staff development, and advocacy, coupled with a robust analytical acumen and leadership prowess.

Her influence extends beyond clinical practice into academia and community leadership. As a clinical instructor at Georgia State University, she has shaped the next generation of healthcare professionals. She is the CEO of U-First Healthcare and the visionary founder of U-First Community Development Center, initiatives that have significantly improved community health outcomes. She is fully committed in the community providing free screenings and treatment to those in need.

Dr. Crisostomo’s leadership roles include Co-Founding Member and Chairwoman of The Haitian American Nurses Association of Georgia and Treasurer of The United Advanced Practice Registered Nurse of Gwinnett and Forsyth. She is also a founding member of The Georgia Haitian Leadership Coalition, reflecting her dedication to empowering underserved communities.

Dr. Crisostomo’s professional affiliations are extensive, underscoring her commitment to nursing excellence. She has served as President Elect of AMSN from 2006 to 2008 and is an active member of prestigious organizations such as AANPCP, ANCC, ANA, and Sigma Theta Tau. Her contributions to these organizations have been pivotal in shaping nursing practice and policy.

Beyond her clinical and academic roles, Dr. Crisostomo is an entrepreneur with ventures including Final Touch Entertainment, U-First Empire, Arc Apparel, and AC Model.
