Dr. Marla Durand

Audiologist

Dr. Marla Durand is a Haitian-American Audiologist, licensed in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and holds her certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She specializes in pediatric through geriatric diagnostics, hearing aids, and vestibular disorders. She completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, and received her Doctorate of Audiology from Montclair State University.

Dr. Durand attends numerous conferences and workshops to remain up to date on current evidence-based research and technological advancements. Her various clinical rotations have given her valued experience working with patients of all populations and age groups, aiding them through diagnostic testing, rehabilitation and counselling. She has special interest in fitting patients with hearing aids to improve their quality of life through improved communication abilities.

When Dr. Durand is not seeing patients, she enjoys playing her musical instruments, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She has a social media presence to bring Audiology topics to light to the public for educational purposes. She stays in touch with her Haitian culture through music, family traditions, and outreach to Haitian communities particularly in New York. Dr. Durand is excited to continue pursuing her passionate work in hearing health care and sharing insight to others along the way.
