Dr. Sidney Coupet, MD

CEO, Coupet Quality Clinic (CQC) and CQC Healthcare Systems

Dr. Sidney Coupet is the CEO of Coupet Quality Clinic (CQC) and CQC Healthcare Systems that are headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. His practices provide access to quality primary and preventative healthcare services to hundreds of people in South Florida using a Direct Primary Care (DPC) model. He serves as an Extensivist in his practices where he provides high level care coordination to high risk and medically complex patients. Dr. Coupet is also the Founder of SPARK Health, an international health organization that provide means for numerous families in the US to fund and manage the healthcare for their family members in developing countries around the world using the DPC model.

Dr. Coupet is also trained as a Physician Informaticists, where he has served as the lead physician in multiple Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations for several hospitals around the country. He is an expert and a champion of many quality improvement initiates in hospital settings and has served as the Chief of Hospital Medicine for Broward Health System where he advocated for High Value care for many patients in the South Florida region.

Dr. Coupet has received numerous awards and distinctions throughout his career. In 2005, while completing his Master in Public Health, he was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship where he developed and facilitated a model for health workshops for previously incarcerated men in Pittsburgh, PA, which is still being utilized. Following the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Dr. Coupet was one of only three medical students to be selected by Harvard Medical School’s Internal Medicine Clerkship Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. In recognition of his varied experiences, leadership and commitment to the healthcare profession Dr. Coupet was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. While there, he received an additional degree, Master in Health Services Research and published numerous peer-reviewed scholarly works around global health.

Dr. Coupet has multiple features in the South Florida Hospital News for his leadership in bringing Direct Primary Care to Broward County, and his Direct Primary Care practice was recognized in the Sun Sentinel News as an alternative model to cost effective primary and preventative healthcare services.

Through Dr. Coupet’s initiatives he is providing access to quality healthcare for people around the world. His life stance is for the possibility that everyone have access to quality healthcare services no matter where they live!
