Giovanny Klyd Exilus

My name is Giovanny Klyd Exilus, and I am a senior at Manhattan Comprehensive Night & Day High School. I am from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and I have a strong passion for the law. Currently, I work as a customer service representative at Duane Reade and as a French-Haitian Creole to English interpreter for Comprehensive Youth Development, helping enroll new immigrants into my school. Additionally, I am a teaching assistant in English as a Second Language classes. I am a fierce advocate for justice and education and will soon be speaking at a rally for funding transfer schools. I am an incoming freshman at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I intend to major in Criminal Justice with a minor in History. I aspire to become a lawyer to achieve personal fulfillment and gain the knowledge necessary to navigate society and help my community.
