Guylene Berry

Guylene Berry is a versatile and talented woman, counting among her accomplishments the creation of a live, one-of-a-kind, call-in syndicated talk show in South Florida’s Haitian community.

As director of Sak Pase Media, Ms. Berry is focused on connecting with audiences and promoting social good. She also is the host and executive producer of Koze Fanm (“Women’s Issues”) and Vwa (“Voice”) Diaspora, which has aired for twelve  years.

Koze Fanm brings awareness to the issues of Haitian women and families, as well as education, finance, health, legal, political, parenting, and social issues affecting the Haitian community at large. In less than one year, the show grew from a 60-minute Sunday afternoon show to a weekday syndicated show airing in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Atlanta, Boston, and their surrounding areas as well as online at SakPaseMedia.com.

For the past year, Ms. Berry has produced and hosted the Sak Pase TV show and Conversation with Guylene Berry, airing on Florida stations and on-demand on SakpaseTV.com and on YouTube She also co-hosted and facilitated the “Senator Oscar Braynon Show,” a weekly radio show that provided information, resources and updates on what’s going on in the Florida Legislature.

Ms. Berry served ten years in the court system as a Creole interpreter also a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator. She is a certified Master Trainer with the National Partnership for Community Leadership’s Partners for Fragile Families Fatherhood Development Curriculum.  Life and health insurance licensed agent. She launched the “Building Strong Families in North Miami” Initiative to provide training, education and advocacy to strengthen families and support dads in becoming positive role models in fun environment.

Ms. Berry’s passion for community development led her to establish the Alliance for Progress, a human services organization that offers help to individuals thrive in today’s world; family and personal development and empowerment; case management; and direct and indirect involvement in providing assistance to people and institutions in South Florida and Haiti.

Ms. Berry is also the former community outreach advisor to the North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency/ community liaison to the city of North Miami, and a former promotions professional with the City of Miami. She’s served on several boards, among them the Carrie Meek Foundation, Church World Services and the Community Affairs Committee of the Museum of Contemporary Art. She was appointed by Florida Gov. Charlie Crist to the Florida State Count Committee for Census 2010. Appointed as Liaison Officer for Carifesta 2015 to Antigua Minister of Trade, Industry, Commerce & Consumer Affairs, Minister of Sports, Culture and National Festivals. And she also served as a media strategist on several campaigns.

Ms. Berry has received achievement proclamations or other recognition from US Congress, the Haitian Consulate of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Broward County, Miami-Dade Schools, and the cities of Miramar, Miami, North Miami, and North Miami Beach.
