Jessicah Pierre

Chief of Communications, City of Boston

Jessicah Pierre is a skilled public relations professional who has spent the last 10 years using her skills to build community and advance social justice work. She currently serves as the Chief of Communications for the City of Boston. In this role, Jessicah leads the City’s press, speechwriting, digital and photography teams and serves as lead communications director and advisor for the Wu administration.

Known as the “People’s Publicist,” Jessicah Pierre formerly worked as the Principal Publicist and Business Strategist at J. Pierre Communications (JPC), a PR agency in which she founded and ran for three years. Through her work at JPC, Pierre consulted and provided strategic communications campaigns for elected officials, political candidates, nonprofits, small businesses and media companies.

When she is not working, you can find Jessicah Pierre mentoring young people, speaking on various panels or events, or connecting others to opportunities to help them grow. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, being out in nature, listening to music and spending time with loved ones.
