Johnny Celestin

Deputy Director, NY City’s Mayor’s Office of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises

Johnny Celestin is currently a Deputy Director in NY City’s Mayor’s Office of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBEs). He is also a faculty member at the Studley Graduate Program in International Affairs program at the New School University.

Johnny brings extensive leadership and global experience in international development, governance, leadership, and community development. He has over 30 years of experience in the private, public and philanthropic sectors, and has worked at several organizations and institutions, including:

  • New School University (Studley Graduate Program in International Affairs program)
  • Future Leaders Foundation, Clinton Foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies, and Robin Hood Foundation
  • Centre Haitien du Leadership et de l’Excellence – CLE (Haitian Center for Leadership and Excellence)
  • Haiti’s Ministry of Planning & External Cooperation
  • Accenture, LLP

Johnny is an entrepreneur, bridge builder, and activist committed to social change and, most importantly, social justice. He is an active member of various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Haiti and the US. He serves on the board of CLE, Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods (SOIL), Defend Haiti’s Democracy (DHD), and Le Forum Haïtien Pour la Paix et le Développement Durable (FOHPDD). He is a social and political analyst and the co-host of Le Mo-Jo show.
