Joseph M. Chery

Mortgage Loan Specialist, Guaranteed Rate

Joseph M Chery is a community peace activist, a self-taught painter, and a mortgage loan specialist.

Mr. Chery was a founding member of the National Coalition of Survivors for Violence prevention, where he cohosted a series of national conferences that brought together public officials and health professionals, academic institutions and health organizations, law enforcement agencies and survivors of violence to develop a protocol to respond to violence and assist homicide survivors. He is cofounder and former CEO of Boston-based Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, where he created the nationally acclaimed Louis D Brown Peace Curriculum.

Joseph Chery is the resident curator of the Haitian Artists Assembly of Massachusetts. In that capacity, he helps organize art exhibitions at institutions across the New England region to promote the Haitian culture and provide exposure to local Haitian artists.

For the past ten years, Mr. Chery has been helping Haitian families in Massachusetts develop family financial legacies through home ownership. He works with the mortgage company, Guaranteed Rate, and can be reached at 617-306-6400.
