Joy Williams

Founder, SoulJoy Wellness

Joy Machelle Williams has been committed to improving health equity in the Black faith community. Joy launched SoulJoy Wellness to reach the Black faith community online and in-person. A lifestyle wellness media brand empowering Black women mind, body & soul with live and on-demand programming.

Prior to the launch of SoulJoy Wellness, Joy worked at ESPN as Senior Director of Ad Sales Development for both Studio and International Production. Previously, she was Assistant Vice President at JP Morgan Chase. Joy also has experience in traditional and digital media with HBO, MTV, CBS, and Cablevision.

Joy has a bachelors degree in Economics from Vassar College, a master of arts in Media Studies from the New School University and an MBA with a concentration in media and finance from Columbia Business School. While at Columbia Business School, Joy served as the first Black woman elected as Student Body President.

Joy is a member of the Theta Iota Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc where she serves as chair of the Building Economic Legacy Committee. She is also a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church where she was ordained as Elder.
