Laurie Prickett

Before her current role, Laurie was the Trade & Investment Manager for the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) team based at the British Consulate-General Atlanta.  In that role as the UK’s Southeast regional trade and investment representative.  Laurie’s work was spread across many sectors with a specific focus on Consumer Goods, Creative Industries and Sports.  Her role encompassed B2B, B2C, Trade Missions, Policy, and Outreach.

Prior to her return to Georgia in 2014, Laurie was a Consular Officer at the British Embassy in Washington DC.  Her role was customer facing and responsibilities stretched throughout complex casework, policy, outreach, and service delivery.  Laurie was also a part of the Rapid Deployment team, which is a deployment team representing affected British Nationals living abroad.  Laurie was deployed to Haiti (2010) and Japan (2011) offering support to British Nationals in affected crisis areas.

Laurie holds a B.A. in Political Science concentration International Affairs from Georgia State University and holds a M.A. in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Bath (UK) and Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic).  Laurie’s pride and joy is her 11-year-old son Logan and they live in Marietta.
