Native from Carrefour a city in south Port-au-Prince, Nadia JEAN CHARLES is Co-founder and currently President of Haiti Femmes & TIC (HFTIC), a non-for profit_ association of women, which exist since February 2015. We support and encourage women empowerment through Information Technology and communication (ICT). HFTIC facilitate the integration of more women in the field of ICT, and provide training, workshop to help girls and women to use technology tools to strengthen their skills in other to create more opportunities to develop their own community. She works as a Senior Monitoring and evaluation coordinator for a non-for profit organization dedicated to provide health care services to underserved community in Plateau Central.
Nadia believes that the biggest and long-term investment someone can do is in investing in women’s education. Because she convinced that “educate a woman is educating everyone”. Here is her philosophy that drive her passion to work with community. Nadia has a master degree in computer science from Ecole Supérieure Infotronique d’Haiti; she is a Young Leaders of Americas Initiative (YLAI) scholar and Instructor of teenage children at Groupe Kiro de la Paroisse Croix-des-Missions.
