My name is Newchda D. Oreus. I’m a YLAI Innovator Alumni 2021, I’ve leveraged my passion for change in various initiatives, including my role as a lawyer at Cabinet Louissaint law firm, where I have been associated with some of the most prestigious legal cases in the country. I am currently a student in administration at Brigham University Idaho online.
Since 2016, I have gained significant experience in assisting women in poultry farming through my work at SOCOSI company as consultant. In January 2019, I launched SPIRAL SUCCESS, a platform dedicated to nurturing leadership, self-esteem, and time-management skills among the youth in our community. My dedication to technological advancement was recognized in June 2019 when I was selected by the US Embassy in Haiti to participate in the Haiti Tech Summit.
In October 2020, I founded Dorie’s House, an organization aimed at empowering women, youth, and anyone identifying as a woman. I support single mothers, women, and youth, especially those affected by domestic violence, gender inequality, and sexual harassment.
In May 2022, I was honored to be selected to participate in the World Bank Summit in Washington, DC. The following month, in June 2022, I was also chosen to attend the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles. In 2023, I further expanded my expertise by participating in the GSE Haiti Tourism Accelerator.
