Renel Alexis, LPN

Hello! My name is Renel Alexis and I’m a 26 year old Haitian/Jamaican- American nurse based in the New Jersey area. I studied at Lincoln Technical Institute where I completed the LPN program. I’ve been a Licensed Practical Nurse for about 5 years now with the start of my career beginning during the COVID-19 pandemic. I faced many new challenges with starting my career during such a tough time. My first position being in management working as a Resident Care Coordinator at an assisted living facility where one of my main duties were staffing and scheduling. I knew from the start of nursing school that I wanted to as much different experience in many areas of nursing so I’ve never limited myself to just one opportunity. After much dedication and work in my first position I then began to explore different options where I could really apply my clinical skills learned in school. I have since worked in Long Term Care, Sub acute/Rehab, School nursing and now my current role as a Health Advisor for Walgreens. I have plans to further my education in this field where I’ll be attending school this upcoming spring to obtain my BSN-RN.
