Whitchy Augustin

Born and raised in Cité Soleil, one of Haiti’s most challenging yet inspiring communities, Whitchy Augustin learned early the values of resilience, creativity, and determination. Despite growing up amid daily hardships, he held a strong belief that education could be the path to transforming his life and contributing to a brighter future for his country. His dedication to his studies earned him a scholarship from HELP—an opportunity that lifted financial burdens and opened doors to academic and professional growth he once thought impossible.

Through his academic journey, Whitchy discovered a deep passion for technology, with a particular focus on cybersecurity. Fascinated by the ways digital systems connect the world, he is equally aware of the threats that endanger individuals, organizations, and even nations. His goal is to become a cybersecurity expert who can safeguard information, strengthen digital infrastructures, and help create safer online spaces for people in Haiti and beyond.

From the streets of Cité Soleil to the halls of higher education with HELP’s support, in his 4th year, Whitchy’s journey is one of persistence and hope. He is committed to using his knowledge not only to protect but also to empower—ensuring that as Haiti embraces technology, it does so securely and sustainably. His story fuels his dedication to inspire others, uplift his community, and contribute to building a safer, more connected world.
