The Haitian Diaspora A Powerful Engine
Location: Bayview Ballroom 214
The Haitian Diaspora is a powerful but yet stagnate engine. There is a need to address the overwhelming lack of organization which results in little to zero political power in what is happening in Haiti. This panel will react to issues such as:
- The effects of the constant catastrophic brain drain.
- Issue of no voice – Are we truly helpless in the issues Political Economic Development of Haiti?
- What would it take to peel through the layers of poverty, violence, and lawlessness and emerge with strength?
- Can the diaspora take the lead towards initiatives such as industrialization and creation of Big Corporations that provide mass employment? Or any other strategies for economic engagement and immersion?
