College Planning with NAAHP: Yes, There’s a Doctor in the House

Virtual
Date: Friday, April 24, 2026
Time: 6:30 PM EST
Description
Many students say at a young age “I want to become a doctors when I grow up”. The challenge is taking the right courses and participating in programs early which support that goal. The numbers of minorities are not high in medical or physician assistant school. In addition, support is needed to help students navigate the academic and social pressures while applying for and once admitted into the schools so that students can succeed. Finally, there is a financial burden to attending these schools and students need to be aware of where those resources can be obtained.
Topic Focus Areas
- Preparation for admission to medical and physician assistant school
