She has been a member of NAAHP’s Scholarship Review Committee for the past two years.
An advocate, mentor, and philanthropist who has supported and bettered the lives of marginalized individuals, Sofia is an emerging leader in civil and human rights with over a decade of business and government experience, nonprofits, education, policy, and law. She has worked on the front lines of many of the world’s most critical global issues throughout the years and advocates for the health, education, global poverty reduction, civil and human rights of people from underprivileged communities at the local, state, and federal levels.
“Thank you so much to the NAAHP family and the scholarship committee members for always giving back to the Haitian community. As a first-generation Haitian-American, I am ecstatic to continue working with NAAHP to invest my time ensuring the scholarship program is the blueprint to serving those in our community. An investment in a better society starts with an educated mind. I know firsthand the importance of a quality education and want to advocate for the benefits of our community.” said Rinvil.

Sofia holds degrees in Political Science, Global Affairs and Human Security, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, and Law from separate top-tier programs.
“We at NAAHP are delighted to announce the appointment of Sofia Rinvil to Director of Scholarship Programs.
